Welcome to Franklin Avenue Elementary
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Franklin Avenue Elementary school’s website. The faculty and staff join me in welcoming you to our small corner on the World Wide Web. We hope that you will find our website both useful and informative.
Franklin Avenue Elementary is a very diverse community of committed people. Our community includes parents, families, friends, as well as teachers, staff, and students. We work together to lead our students toward becoming disciplined, productive, and fulfilled individuals who apply critical and creative thinking skills in their journey of life-long learning.
Within the walls of our school, we house a diverse mix of cultures and languages. We continually set high standards and expectations for our students. Through the work of a very experienced staff and with the strong support from the parents and community, we continually reach and set new higher goals.
We are a community of learners constantly working towards excellence, and we all strive to make Franklin Avenue the best school for our students. Welcome to our school!

Schools for Advanced Studies (SAS) Permit Application Now Available
The Schools for Advanced Studies (SAS) Permit Application is now available for the 2014-2015 school year. Applications must be submitted to the school office between April 1st through April 30th, 2014. The SAS permit requires that the student meet certain eligibility critera. Eligibility must be verified by the student's current school. Once all applications are received by the application deadline, they will be reviewed and from the eligible applications, a lottery will be conducted to select the approved permits and create a waiting list. Parents will be notified by U.S. Mail on May 9th, 2014.
Please note that all permits are based upon space availability at the specific grade level that is requested.
